Empirio is strong at a fast start: describe your goal, the AI generates questions, and after fieldwork you get interactive instant charts and AI summaries, including sentiment. For a first overview that is ideal.

What goes beyond that — crosstabs across questions, weighting, significance tests, net/top-box values and tracking across waves — is not Empirio’s focus. That depth is what DataLion adds, and not just for your own surveys but for any dataset.

AI is not left out at DataLion: through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, Claude and other AI agents operate DataLion directly — create projects, import data, build reports. And the AI sentiment and topic analysis codes open ends automatically and writes the results back as new variables — crosstab-able, weightable and trackable across waves.

Data protection is not the difference here

Do I need DataLion in addition to Empirio?
If AI-created surveys and instant charts are enough, no. As soon as you need cross-question crosstabs, weighting, significance tests, tracker dashboards or automated decks — or want to analyse data not created in Empirio — DataLion is the analysis layer.
Does DataLion have AI like Empirio?
Yes. DataLion can be controlled by Claude and other AI agents through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and it codes open ends by sentiment and topic with AI, writing the results back as analysable variables. Empirio’s AI sits in creation and summaries; DataLion’s AI sits in control and deep analysis.
Can DataLion analyse my Empirio survey data?
Yes. Export the raw data from Empirio (e.g. as CSV/Excel) and import it into DataLion. From there you build crosstabs, weighted analyses, significance tests, dashboards and PowerPoint reports.
