Getting started with DataLion

Welcome to DataLion! This guide takes you from login to your first interactive dashboard in just a few minutes.

1. Sign in

Open your DataLion instance and sign in with your credentials. No account yet? Request a trial via the Try DataLion button.

2. Import data

DataLion reads the common market-research formats:

  • SPSS (.sav) – including weighting, missing values and value labels
  • Excel and CSV
  • direct database connections

Just drag and drop your file into the project.

3. Build your first chart

  1. Pick a question from the codebook.
  2. DataLion suggests a suitable chart type automatically.
  3. Refine filters, weighting and labels in the sidebar.

Tip: Global filters re-cut every chart on a dashboard by audience at once — with no page reload.

4. Share & export

Export results as PowerPoint (in your client’s master), Excel or PDF, or share an interactive dashboard via link.
