Is DataLion really free for students?

Yes. The free plan never expires: 1 project with up to 100 responses, including automatic analysis and a dashboard — no credit card. In the first 14 days you additionally get the full feature set, such as crosstabs and export.

Are 100 responses enough for my thesis?

For many quantitative theses the realised sample is in this range. If you need more, you can switch to a paid plan at any time — or get in touch if your study is planned to be much larger.

Is the survey truly anonymous?

Yes. For anonymous surveys DataLion stores neither the IP address nor a login or email of participants. You can state that to your ethics committee and examination office.

Can I export my data as SPSS or Excel?

Yes — export (SPSS, Excel, PowerPoint) is part of the full feature set available in the first 14 days and on paid plans. Tip: schedule your analysis phase inside the 14-day window and the entire thesis analysis costs you nothing.

My university is switching off Unipark — can I take my data with me?

Yes. Export your Unipark/EFS data as SPSS or Excel (it comes coded with labels) and import it into DataLion — the analysis continues there. More on the Unipark alternative page.
